Summer is just around the bend and for my family that means barbecuing. This is a quick recipe that requires few ingredients and a hot grill. Using ready made, gluten-free BBQ sauce makes it a snap and it tastes great alongside fresh corn, sauteed green beans and Celery Root Slaw or traditional Coleslaw.
Prep time: 5 minutes
Total time: 25 minutes
Servings: 4
4 bone-in chicken breasts
1/2 c. bottled, BBQ sauce (Trader Joe’s Kansas City BBQ Sauce is GFCFSF)
- Preheat grill to 450 degrees.
- Slather half of BBQ sauce onto both sides of chicken and place on hot grill, skin side down for 3 minutes. When the chicken is seared, turn grill down a bit (to 375) and grill for another 7 minutes.
- Turn chicken and grill on indirect heat for 8 minutes, (depending on how thick your breasts are), lid down for entire grilling process.
- Slather remaining 1/2 c. sauce over chicken and grill for additional 2-3 minutes and serve.
