ham & cheese rolls kids lunch

Amys Gluten Free Pantry

With lots of protein, fruits and vegetables, this is a wonderful packed lunch for kids. My two are like hobbits, except instead of eating two breakfasts, they eat two lunches – one at school and another when they get home, so this is great for an after school snack as well. I find my kids will eat almost any raw vegetables provided they can dip them into hummus. Win-win situation, right? The crackers here are gluten-free graham-style crackers, but peanut butter in celery works great too.

Total time: 5 minutes
Yield: 1 serving

2 slices ham
2 slices provolone cheese
(optional)
2 olives
2 toothpicks
bunch of grapes
fresh broccoli
dab of
hummus
1
graham-style cracker
spread of peanut butter

  1. Place provolone atop ham and roll up, securing with an olive spiked toothpick.
  2. Pile remaining ingredients above onto plate and serve to happy kids.
