This is my favorite way to make bacon on the weekends, when it’s more than just a slice or two. This is so delicious that my kids have even turned down bacon when they discovered it wasn’t “oven bacon.” I saw Ina Garten do this while watching one of her Barefoot Contessa shows and have been making bacon this way ever since. Her original recipe includes a slathering of maple syrup on top – yum! Not only is it a way of producing crisp, flat bacon, but you can cook several different types of bacon at one time (I eat turkey bacon), without co-mingling the flavors. If you are having a crowd, particularly, you can’t beat this.

I love this Bacon! I made it for my Family and they now ADORE IT! They can never go back to normal bacon! Thank You Amy!
Paige isn’t kidding about not going back to regular bacon. I don’t know why cooking it in the oven is so magical, but for some reason it makes the bacon so good. We are all hooked on oven bacon now!
I know what you mean! Roasting it gets rid of all those funky ridges that don’t get entirely cooked when you fry it.
