hot quinoa cereal

A nice alternative to oatmeal with lots of fiber and more protein that you’ll find in any other grain.

Active time: 3 minutes
Yield: 1 serving

1 c. water
1/3 c. quinoa flakes
pinch of salt
handful of blueberries
drizzle of agave syrup

  1. Bring water to rapid boil. Add salt and quinoa flakes.
  2. Return to boil and cook for 90 seconds, stirring constantly.
  3. Remove from heat and pour into bowl. Let sit for several minutes for cereal to thicken.
  4. Drop a handful of your favorite berries or slices of fruit on top and drizzle with agave syrup.
