…MIA for the holidays…

Amys Gluten Free Pantry

I had great intention of producing a slew of wonderful holiday recipes, in fact many are ready to go, but they’ll have to wait for next year. My darling mom passed away on December 3 and I can’t seem to find the energy to think about recipes, let alone cook. Writing her obituary, eulogy, memorial program and now putting together a photographic tribute is keeping me in a place of loss. Her service is January 6, and once I get that under my belt, I will be back with lots of recipes.  Until then, hold tight the ones you love, and let your hearts be filled with gratitude for the ones who are no longer with you. We don’t get to choose our parents, but I truly would have chosen both of mine. It really doesn’t get much better than that.

Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah and Happy New Year to you all.

I am sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. I dread that day myself and I am trying to make the most of moments because our time on earth is limited. Saying a prayer for you right now.

    Lisa,
Thank you so much for your kind words and prayers. And you’re right about making the most of the time we have, especially with those we love. No one loves you quite like a mother 🙂
