banana strawberry no-milk shake

Amys Gluten Free Pantry

One more creamy gfcfsf alternative to offer yourself or your kids as a treat. I like mine around 4:00 p.m. when I start my afternoon lag. With lots of fruit and protein, and so thick you can float a slice of strawberry on top, it’s perfect to tide you over until dinner.

Prep time: 5 minutes
Total time: 5 minutes
Yield: 4  8-oz servings
Special equipment: blender or Vitamix

2 c. almond milk (vanilla flavored is great for this)
2 handfuls ice (about 3-4 cups)
2 ripe bananas
1 c. strawberries, about 8, sliced
2 T agave nectar

  1. Place all ingredients in blender and blend for about 30 seconds until creamy. Serve with a strawberry garnish.

I love this drink! It has a tart, but sweet flavor to it.
