Amys Gluten Free Pantry

Thanksgiving provides my favorite meal during my favorite time of the year. In Southern California, November has almost as many sunny days at our sunniest month, August. The only difference is a chill in the air and wind that blows billowy clouds across a cold, blue sky, making the Coronado Islands perfectly visible.

There are many things that make Thanksgiving the holiday we so love. With no pressure of gift-giving, it’s a time of gratitude when we can reflect on the many blessings we’ve received. For some, it’s a time for good food and football. With the aroma of roasting turkey in the background, mingled with the subtle sweetness of an apple pie, many of us watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, now in its 86th year.

Whatever your tradition, my Thanksgiving wish for you is that whatever trials and losses you’ve suffered this year, on this one day, you are able to fully comprehend the blessings and good fortune you’ve received. Here are menu options to keep you happy and healthy this holiday. Happy, happy Thanksgiving.
