Amys Gluten Free Pantry

Check these out! I found these on Recipe Diva, a great blog I contribute to. These are from the Diva herself. What better way to celebrate strawberries and chocolate for Halloween? And who wouldn’t like to eat a monster with green hair? Visit this wonderful blog and browse to your heart delight.

Prep time: 5 minutes
Total time: 45 minutes
Yield: 20-30 strawberries

1 pound ripe strawberries, washed and patted dry
8 ounces good quality white chocolate (the Diva used Lindt), chopped
squeezable black decorating icing

  1. Line a baking sheet with non-stick paper. Make a double-boiler by placing the chocolate in a tempered glass bowl set over a saucepan of simmering water. Stir until melted and smooth. Remove bowl from the saucepan.
  2. Dip each strawberry into the chocolate holding it by the stem. Place on the prepared baking sheet. Let set for about 20 minutes. Using the squeezable chocolate icing, draw 2 eyes and a large oval shaped mouth.
  3. Chill until set.
